A Study on the Trend of the Group Art Therapies Treating Parents-children Relations

Abstract
This study aimed to analyze the trends in the study of the effects of group arts therapy in the improvement of the parent-children relations in South Korea. The results of the study will be used to improve the research on group arts therapy for the improvement of parent-children relations. Also, the study results will provide the data necessary for therapy. To that end, 41 master's and doctoral dissertations on the improvement of parents-children relations, published for 14 years from 2000 to 2014, were gathered, and based on the measurement tools and research results, were classified into four categories, namely, affection and affection stability, rearing attitude and rearing behavior, parents-children relation intimacy and satisfaction, and parents-children communication. Based on the sub-classification, the data were analyzed and put together by degree acquisition year, target of research, design of research, group session and group session period, number of group members, and group theories. The findings of this study were discussed in terms of their meaning and implications, and proposal for follow-up research.
